Do you have the talent?

If you have the talent, it shows up when you're 2 years old.
If you have the talent, it shows up consistently.

If you don't have the talent, it won't show up even if you work on it for 20 years.
If you don't have the talent, it won't show up consistently.

Find your talent and stay with your talent.

B Talent

This might seem to be a joke but it's not.

McDonald is #1 in burger. If you're Burger King (#2), you don't confront McDonald directly. Thus, Burger King has Whopper.

In life, if someone else has A+ talent and you only have B talent. You don't compete with that person on this talent directly. You try to figure out your A+ talent.

example:
In a college math course, Peter wants to get the highest score for a long time. No matter how hard he try, he's the second best. Tom always gets the highest score. Peter knows that Tom is better in Math than he is and he wasn't too happy about it. Instead of feeling jealous, Peter try to figure out his A+ talent. He realized that computer is also math related. He start writing software and Peter becomes the #1 in computer industry.

Clapping for others

If you ever feel jealous of other's talent, you probably have tremendous interest and an above average talent yet the gap between your talent and others are ten thousand miles. The best solution is to clap your hands and move on.

example:
Mary who is 15 years old always thought she has talent in piano. She has gotten numerous awards from competitions. She's the top piano player within her friends and her family members. Then one day, her 5 years old sister starts to play piano. Both her parents and her suddenly realize that the younger sister who has no piano lesson can play much better than Mary. Mary is shocked, jealous and depressed. She has tears in her eyes but she claps her hand for her younger sister. Mary knows that piano isn't her real talent. She got to find her real talent.

Team effort

I always thought that I am a good team player. I like to help out in a team environment.

Then one day I realize:
It's good to help out but it's better to figure out my talent and use my talent to help out the team.

When I was a student, I always thought that I want to get A in every class.
Then one day, I wake up,
I should work harder on the class that I have talent and spend minimum amount of time on the class that I don't have talent.

When I am working, I always want to spend 101% effort on the job that I am working.
Then one day, I wake up,
I should work harder on myself and my talent and spend minimum amount of time on the job that I am working.

I know that by following this philosophy, I will add tremendous value to my love ones and billion of others.

I know why Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are on the top of the world. The reason is:

They play what they enjoy every day, every month, every year
and
they have talents with what they're playing.

Awaken

I always thought if I try hard enough, I'll become an expert in any field. Then I realize

I can get A+ result if it's my talent.
I can get at most C- result if it's not my talent.

I always thought if I try hard enough, I can work well with every one. Then I realize

I work well with a group of people.
I don't work well with another group of people.

The rule of the game is to find my talents and to work with the right group of people.
