Provide Value

"He who asks questions cannot avoid the answers."
- Cameroon Proverb

"I will always ask myself with the right question and move forward with calmness."

Easy, little change

Easy, little change
- Jim Rohn

It's better to make an easy, little change every day. The result is monumental and lasting forever. This is also the best way to provide immense value to my family and billion of others.

What's yours is always yours

What's yours is always yours, what's not yours is not yours.
- David Shen

If the talent is yours, you will grasp the idea and advanced in a speed of light. If the talent is not yours, it will take a long time to learn and you are very likely stay at the same spot forever.
- David Shen

I didn't realize the above statements until recently. When I was young, I always went for the most challenging class. I thought if I try hard enough I would be the best some day. As I grow older, I start to realize it's not true. I can excel in one career and do poorly in another career. It's always better to move to a career where you have talent.

If the talent is yours, it is always yours. If the talent isn't yours, move on to a new place.

Consistency

A consistent man believes in destiny, a capricious man in chance.
- Benjamin Disraeli

According to the above statement, one rule to provide immense value to my love ones is be consistent. I am consistent doing 2 things every day: reading my mission statement every day and spend time on my talent every day.

Learning Math

I realize that each person has a different learning pattern.
When we learn math, one person might learn right away yet the other might feel frustrated.
One of the reason is that some teachers only talk about the concept and some students can grasp the idea quickly by listening. Other students might need to see the picture on the white board in order to understand math.

I wish all parents can find out their children's learning pattern and provide value for their child.
I wish I can provide immense value for my child.

I refuse

"It's a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it."
- W. Somerset Maugham

I refuse to accept anything but the best value for my love ones.
Am I providing the best value for my love ones today?
If not, what can I do today to provide the best value for my love ones?

I choose

Today, I make my life count.

Have courage

Have courage to listen
Have courage to listen to my heart
Have courage to face
Have courage to face the music
Have courage to cry
Have courage to cry and stand up
Have courage to move
Have courage to move toward the direction of my mission in life
Have courage to practice
Have courage to practice my talent each moment
Have courage to feel
Have courage to feel gratefulness every day
Have courage to see
Have courage to see the day I reach my goal
Have courage to discern
Have courage to discern right and wrong
Have courage to read
Have courage to read my master plan every day
Have courage to grab
Have courage to grab my destiny with open arms

Vision

When I was young, I had the tendency to compare and compete with others. If I got a better grade, I would be proud. As I grew up, I started to realize that this is not the best way to move forward with life. A dear friend of mine gave me a hint and I know instantly this is the best way to move forward.

The truth is that competition can only get you so far.
If you have a vision, you can leap light years ahead.

John F Kennedy has a vision - reach for the moon.
Bill Gates has a vision - put a computer in every home.
I have a vision.

Talent and interest

I always thought as long as I have the talent, interest isn't that important. I just realize it's not true. Talent represent your output. You can spend 20% energy and produce 4000% output. Interest represent the time. If you don't have the interest, you probably won't use your talent. If you have the interest, you'll use your talent for the next 60 years. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet use their talents and interest and look at the amazing result they create.
I wish to use my talent and interest to provide value to my love ones and billion of others.

Find the right category

Each category has its own specialty. When you're not doing well, it's not because you're not doing well. It's because you're in the wrong category.

Occasional influence

Occasional influence are very subtle because they can have an accumulative effect that is difficult to see. I didn't realize the above statement at first. I thought it only applies to habit. Later on, I realize it applies to both career and people. The people that you met. It can have positive effect and it can have negative effect. Even occasional meeting with them will have accumulative effect.

How to find out the talent

You might not realize this yet this is true. If you look at your past result, you find out the thing that is really easy to do and you say to yourself, "this is so easy, everyone can do it". It's very likely that this thing is your talent. Bill Gates found out the thing. Warren Buffet found out the thing. I believe that I also found out the thing. I'll let the result prove itself. :)

Well, my friends, I wish you the best of luck. Please also wish me the best of luck, too. :)

Life result

I believe that life provides us with the result. If you work on a career for a long time and it doesn't go any where, you might want to ask yourself if your talents matches this career. If you constantly meet friends who seem to be nice but in the long run like to take advantage of the situation, you might want to ask yourself what attracts you to those friends. (note: it's hard to remove yourself from those friends but if you don't your other results would be impacted.) If you're really happy for the past 3 years, you might want to look at yourself and find out the variables that make you happy. It might be the morning jog. It might be your loving family. It might be that you tap dance to work. I never realize this until today. If the result is poor, it's better to change. If the result is excellent, don't change anything. (Stay in the same house, see the same old friends, wear the same style of cloth, do the same routine every day.)

To do what you love to do

Warren Buffet taps dance to work every day and he doesn't need to work with any one who makes his stomach turns.

I believe that if I can find a field that I can tap dance to work every day and I work with the people I like. I will have a chance to not only be happy but provide enormous value to my family and others.
